Founder's Bio
E. Skip Scholl, PE, CISSP
Skip Scholl has over 15 years of
extensive experience in technology
management, operational management and
finance. He has also started and continues
to own a consulting practice that focuses on
aligning business processes with technology
for small to medium size businesses. He has
held senior IT management positions
providing enterprise information services to
the municipal government sector, the
insurance industry, and the non-profit
sector. He has also been instrumental in
launching several start-up tech companies.
Skip has focused on the alignment of
business and IT strategies, the development
of IT management strategies and solutions,
the management of IT support groups and the
development and integration of technology
solutions and services. He has been
responsible for implementing and directing
departments in providing enterprise
architecture, capital planning and
investment, system development life-cycle
and strategic planning.
Skip holds a Bachelor in Electrical
Engineering from Villanova University and an
Executive Masters in Technology Management
from the Wharton School and Penn Engineering
at the University of Pennsylvania. He is
also a licensed Professional Engineer in The
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Sample Projects:
VoIP Network Readiness Assessment – Analyzed
current network infrastructure for VoIP
readiness. Evaluated current vendor
contracts and developed cost savings
projections to determine the feasibility of
converting 2,000 end users from a CENTREX to
a VoIP infrastructure. Developed technical
RFP and analyzed vendor proposals.
Analysis of Call Center – Performed
technical and operation review of current
infrastructure for CIO and VP of Customer
Service. Recommended and implemented
infrastructure upgrade of existing CTI
servers, IVR, and ACD. Project included the
addition of a second call center for
business continuity, call overflow and
extended operating hours for the West coast.
Cost Containment – Implemented various
cost savings measures to consolidate
services and align technology with the
business process. Measures have included
contract renegotiation, implementing new
cost effective technologies, billing
reviews, process improvement, etc. Realized
immediate savings of over $2 million with
future savings of an additional $3 million
across several organizations.
Infrastructure Review – Performed a
complete inventory and review of clinical
research services. Developed short and long
term remediation plans to stabilize the
environment and provide capacity for growth.
Included the upgrade and consolidation of
Unix and Windows servers, outsourcing of
non-critical business services, relocation
of the existing data center, and
reorganization of the support groups.
